AncientCrypt is a swamp-logged tomb and a digital bunker entrenched within the internet, made by the dreamer Reliquia. AncientCrypt was originally founded the 17th of May, 2024. The site was inspired by efforts to preserve the label Chinquapin Records, in addition to the website 'coolgames.zip'. It first reached 1,000 views on the 16th of June, 2024, and celebrated 50 followers and 20,000 views on the 22nd of January, 2025. On the 10th of March, 2025, AncientCrypt reached 100 followers on Neocities. On the 24th of August, 2025, AncientCrypt hit 100,000 views on NeoCities. AncientCrypt maintained the .tech domain from June 2024 to April 2025.
