My name is Reliquia, I am from regional NSW, Australia. This is my perfume diary. I believe the appreciation of fragrance and perfumery is an ecstatic, important vocation, second only to music and love. I first started buying cheap perfume in early 2022 but only became substantially 'aware' of niche perfumery in early 2024 after reading the work of Audrey Robinovitz, a media scholar who's journalism on perfume blurs the lines between scent and spiritualism. My dream job is to own a small business dedicated to scent, cosmetics, trinkets, and all special things. Perfume and scent is one of the things that makes me truly happy, and this page aims to archive my quest away from social networking sites. Manhattan Cherry by flaner: 08/20/24 23:50 The brief: Instagram cool girl, cherry cola, Cretan red and worn leather. This is a warm amber fragrance that's olfactory cherry immediately pops upon first blush, evening out to vanilla bourbon, ginger, tobacco. Boozy, sexy.

Turmeric Latte by Lush: 10/27/24 02:18 2017 in the middle of regional New South Wales, Australia. You're at a relative's neighbour's house. They're all drinking, everything is suffused by the orange damp glow of candles and lamps, you feel ‘grown up' even though you understand nothing. One of them, your relative's friend, smells so strongly of incense, she refers to you as an ‘old soul'. They simmer down and talk around the sparse table and you start finding them boring, you start wandering around the rooms. You sidle into the main bedroom, it's got a window of the front-lawn, there's a desk and shelves and shelves of vinyl records. Again, all the walls are coloured amber by the glow. The pull. You can hear the bush humming. You collapse onto the bed and shimmer, weightless with desire and lucidity. If you get too close to the glow, it burns your nose

For a (wo)man austere and beautiful and mean, calcified in glass. It actually smells like you’re in a swiss alps type environment with some penguin buddies chilling out with some dying flowers in your hand. Maybe the image of a weed growing amongst snow.
